 In the Office of the Ombudsman on 7th of April, Sunday, on the day of the second round of the elections for municilaity mayors, mayor of the city of Skopje, as well as re-voting of some election places for a municipality mayor, the free of charge telephone line 0800-54321 will be in function from 7h to 19h. The citizens can report violations of their electoral right.
In order to assist the citizens in achieving and protecting their rights, all seven offices of the Ombudsman in Skopje, Bitola, Kicevo, Kumanovo, Strumica, Tetovo and Stip will be open.

          Besides coming in person or calling the free of charge telephone line, the citizens can also call the following numbers: Tetovo 044 344-082, Strumica 034 329-996, Kicevo 045 228-586, Bitola 047 242-310, Stip 032 389 701, Kumanovo 031 431-488.
It is important to be stressed that the Ombudsman will protect the citizens’ rights through aiming for an immediate and efficient reaction by the institutions who are obliged to secure them.
In this opportunity the Ombudsman emphasizes that the electoral right is free, inviolable and it should be practiced on free elections through a secret voting. Nobody should question the voting decision of a person and demand responsibility for that. That is why the violation of the freedom to vote, as well as other violations of the electoral right is considered a criminal offence.
