SEMINAR ON TOPIC "PROTECTION AGAINST DISCRIMINATION AND GENDER EQUALITY"
Organized by the European Union on 30 November in Brussels, the Kingdom of Belgium held a seminar on "A Legal Seminar on Protection against Discrimination and Gender Equality", attended by representatives from the EU Member States and candidate countries for membership in the Union, as and the countries of the former Soviet Union.
The Ombudsman of the Republic of Macedonia participated with a representative working in the field of protection against discrimination and adequate and equitable representation.
The one-day seminar program was conducted in order to establish legal inconsistencies (GAPS) in the existing regulation covering the segment of protection against discrimination and gender equality, as well as in giving proposals for their overcoming.
At the end of the seminar, it was concluded that the European Commission will compile an appropriate report from the upcoming seminar, which will be submitted to all relevant bodies working in the field of protection against discrimination and gender equality.
