DEPUTY OMBUDSMAN VASKA BAJRAMOVSKA-MUSTAFA ON A STUDY VISIT TO CROATIA
On 5 and 7 October deputy ombudsman Ms. Vaska Bajramovska-Mustafa participated in a study visit to Republic of Croatia in the frames of the project in support, assistance and protection of women victims of family violence and discrimination, and women victims of trafficking in human beings.
The aim of the study visit was to exchange experience among the institutions and organizations that work in the field of gender based violence, learning good practices in suspension of violence over women and securing social services to the victims of gender based violence trough experiences of the Republic of Croatia.
During the visit several institutions that work in this field were visited, among which the Ombudsman for gender equality in the Republic of Croatia, the Children Ombudsman, the Minisitry of Justice, the Ministry of labour and youth, the Agency for employment, and several non-governmental organizations that treat the gender based violence and the violence over women and deliver certain services to the victims.
The deputy ombudsman Ms. Bajramovska-Mustafa presented the competences of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Macedonia from the aspect of human right protection with focus on gender equality, measures and activities for protection of family violence and shared experience about the manner of work of the Department for children rights and rights of persons with special needs and the Department for adequate and equitable representation.
